This is me

I'm a 40+ year CEO, Entrepreneur/Owner, Leader and referred by many in business as an accomplished Creator, Innovator, Inventor, Designer, Writer, Public Speaker, Published Refereed Journal Author, Change Agent, Facilitator, Motivator and Mentor. Other descriptors: Passionate, Caring, Empathetic .... a Visionary who Inspires. An individual who has achieved incredible success ... a great listener ... embraces serendipity. Endless curiosity. His moral compass and ethics, gut instincts and crap-detector are the envy of many of his business associates around the globe. One absolute I see every day in business is so many executives, owners and managers can't walk outside the box to visualize what they can't see .... "you don't know what you don't know until you know it" ....the Grand Epiphany Moment!

What I'm NOT looking for is a job. What I am seeking is to share my knowledge to help other executives and entrepreneur/owners discover the hidden assets within themselves and within their business(es) as well as their employees. If you 'know it all' you don't need my help--in fact you don't need anyone's help. I find it best to hang my ego at the door BEFORE I enter your domain, then demonstrate my value. The most difficult decision you will make is taking the first step .... reaching out and asking for help. Call me if you dare to see the other side of the box--it's amazing what you see when you look inside from outside; a definite WOW moment.

Richard A. Flaherty, CEO/Founder/Inventor

Mr. Flaherty has owned/operated more than a dozen successful businesses since 1974. From building condos and commercial buildings to investment banking, M&A, owning an investment banking firm and for 30+ years starting in 1990 he served as President & CEO of LEADER INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION and DIFFERENTIAL ENERGY GLOBAL Ltd. (DEG), Port Orchard, Washington.

LEADER operated three divisions: commercial & institutional site furniture, LED accent/area landscape lighting and retail fixtures & displays. In 2007 LEADER divested itself of its 18 year holding of its healthcare company that was grown from a few products to more than one hundred products by 2007. Mr. Flaherty held more than a dozen patents for his innovative products used to propel these businesses.

In late 2010 Mr. Flaherty started DEG to commercialize a series of replacement LED lamps he and his team invented to replace HID bulbs (outdoor street, wall packs, parking and interior high/low bay fixtures). Mr. Flaherty holds numerous patents for his innovations in this space. Mr. Flaherty shuttered this business in 2018 after selling the Leader businesses in January 2017.

Overall, Mr. Flaherty has designed several hundred products now in use in more than 63 countries throughout the globe.

Mr. Flaherty retired from the day-to-day activity of operating businesses and decided to take his many years of business acumen and motivational speaking ability to help others accelerate their passions.

Success is measured in countless ways and what I have learned over the past 40 years is that

there is not a single metric or ruler that determines one's successes. For some it is simply finding happiness. For others it is achieving a certain latitude on the corporate ladder. For others it is achieving that coveted title. Many seek wealth. And there are those who simply want to

achieve a certain peace-of-mind in their life -- both personal and professional.

My successes are the latter.

Money is great; it softens the hard edges but it rarely buys happiness.

Watching a staff member of our team achieve more than they ever imagined,

sharing in other's successes, promoting the floor sweeper up the ranks to a manager or

even an officer of the company ... nothing lifts your spirits or elevates the soul more

than seeing the spirited eyes of someone else's success.

I have been fortunate in achieving great success in so many areas of my life.
